I went to check out Open Door Richmond a few days ago which is a free two day city-wide celebration. Arts, cultural and heritage buildings open their doors for free to the public to come check out the sites. The first stop was the London Heritage Farm, a restored and furnished farmhouse from the 1890s.
Read More Post a comment (0)The girlfriend and I went to Pinkberry in West Vancouver a few nights ago and noticed that the travelling carnival was setup in a parking lot at the back of the mall of Park Royal. We decided to check it out after evening desserts. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me but my girlfriend did so I took some shots with her Canon S95.
Read More Post a comment (0)Last night I went on a photowalk through Illuminate Yaletown 2012. Illuminate Yaletown is a art and light festival held on the streets of Yaletown. Imaginative and creative use of light are shown in the streets and even on the walls of buildings. Some of the displays are even interactive and many people take in the fun. I’m happy to say this year that it was dry and I wasn’t soaked like last year. There was some displays that were the same from the previous year but for the most part, there was enough variety to get some good shots this year. If you didn’t get a chance to check it out this year, there’s always 2013.

The weather lately is still a little chilly but its been sunny. We got there near sunset and we had to make use of the gorgeous light. I’ve been practicing some different post processing effects to try to achieve a cinematic look. Here are my shots from this evening.
