Only a month to go before the 2010 Winter Olympic games start in Vancouver. Excitement is building. I got tickets for some of the events where I will be attending with family and friends!

Today at work, I was on my lunch flipping through a Vancouver metro newspaper called 24 Hours. I noticed the Photo of the Day section where they chose a photo that I submitted of the Vancouver Public Library in downtown Vancouver! Its nice to see something I took in print even if its a local newspaper.

This is some of the stuff I’ve invested since switching to Nikon. I try not to think of the dollar amount. I know some people spend way more but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t scare me sometimes .

I apologize for the lack of updates lately, I gotta get back in the swing of things.

I was at a Persian-Asian wedding this past weekend and it was interesting to see something other than a typical asian wedding for once.

Today was Revscene’s 2009 Summer car meet. There were quite the number of cars that came out for the event. Big thanks to the volunteers and organizers for putting on a great event!

Today I finally received my moo minicards. They turned out really well and I’m quite happy about them. If you don’t know, Moo makes these minicards which is sort of like half size business cards. What’s neat is you can your own photos from flickr on each and every card you order. Moo has a partnership with flickr so it makes choosing photos really easy and seamless.

first time shooting fireworks, I wasn’t close enough as I would have liked but you learn.

I went to the Powell Street Festival for the first time. It’s a Japanese street festival and the largest of its kind in Canada.  There were crafts for sale, music, shows, and also martial art demonstrations. Oh and there was lots of delicious Japanese food stalls!
