Last night, I went with a friend out to False Creek around Science World to do a bit of night photography. Some of my friends and coworkers looked at me funny and thought “is he mad?!” No no, I’m perfectly sane. I love taking photos in the evening and last night was great for shooting. The skies were clear even though it was a bit chilly out. There are lots of photo opportunities after sundown and I highly recommend getting out there with your camera. Oh and don’t forget your tripod because you’ll be using long exposures. I also find having a remote for your camera really comes in handy. Of course my friend and I both have Nikon D90′s and we found out we could open the shutters on each other cameras with our remotes…
One thing to note if you decide to go down to False Creek for some photos, they have closed off access to Olympic Village. That part of the seawall is fenced off so you won’t be able to stroll around there until (I’m guessing) the Vancouver 2010 Olympics start.
Read More Post a comment (0)Yesterday morning, I went down to False Creek and walked around the Olympic Village. I was hoping for some sunshine to peek out but it stayed cloudy all morning and afternoon. I was still able to make it home in time and wait in the queue for Vancouver 2010 Olympic tickets. After about 6 hours I was able to get in and purchase tickets for a Victory medal ceremony and Curling. Yeah not that exciting but anything to be experience some of they Olympics.
