Well its been a great year and a lot has happened during my 2010. Here is how my 2010 panned out. Queue flashback/dream music of your choice.
In January, one of my photos of the Vancouver Public Library was printed in 24 Hours newspaper as the photo of the day.

I finally got to try them out with a mini photoshoot with my niece/guinea pig Meghan. It also gave me a chance to actually sit down and concentrates on touch ups in Photoshop. I’ve never really took the time post process portraits much but I’m hoping to change that. It was quite satisfying to sit in front of the computer with my headphones on while listing to Kaskade and Deadmau5 while working away. Thanks to Meghan for being a willing subject and thanks to Dean for lending me his lighting gear. I can’t wait to use it again!

Over the summer, my niece Meghan was a willing guinea pig for a fun fashion type of photoshoot at Crescent Beach in White Rock. My talented cousin Shirley designed and made her grad dress for Meghan and this was a fun way to show it off. It was a beautiful day for a casual shoot and it was a good learning experience. Thanks to Meghan for being a willing participant and my cousin Shirley for being my assistant!

This was more of a learning experience for me as I have done very few portraits let alone fashion shoots before and Tomasz was on hand to give me advice and tips. Nicole being the fashionista that she is coined the term Flashion since I was practicing off camera flash that day for the shoot. The term is brilliant! Here is a sneak peak at some of the photos. Thanks to Tomasz and Nicole for their patience!
