Last week, I organized another Revscene photowalk with some local amateur and pro photographers from the forum. Originally 20+ people signed up and it was looking to be our biggest photowalk yet! However the morning of the photowalk was looking pretty grey and the weather forecast called for rain for the afternoon. About 10 of us actually showed up and Richard was kind enough to pick up some Optech rainsleeves for us to protect our gear from the elements. The walk went pretty well and I think everyone managed to get some great shots from the outing. We went to Steveston after to grab lunch but as we left the restaurant, the rain was really coming down and we decided to quit while we were ahead. I plan to organize another romp through Steveston when the weather gets better.

After some trial and error I got it going and started to have some fun with some experimentation. I also decided to get out my light stand and set the flash up on it. I’m already excited to play some more. It also gave me a chance to shoot with my new Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 Macro lens.
