With all the work I’ve been doing over at ArtofStance, I haven’t been shooting much other than cars cars and more cars. I’ve been trying to get out again to shoot more regularly. While over twitter, I found out my friends @GluttonwithaCam and @mananetwork started to organize some local photowalks. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to join them on an evening photowalk through downtown. Though it was a damp and wet night, its a start of things to come as I find myself doing more photowalks in 2012.
Our group also consisted of @dangerphoto, @TiannaNK, @bdashaler, @thepatrickleung and we walked, climbed, and hopped our way through downtown and the Vancouver east side. After shooting photos of cars for the past 7 months, I admit I’m a little rusty but being a part of this group will inspire me to get back into the loop!
Read More Post a comment (0)Yesterday I went out in the morning for a few hours for a photowalk with my neighbor Peter. The weather was a bit overcast but the sun started to peek out by the late morning. We checked out New Brighton Park (which I’ll post a few photos in a later post) and the skateboard park by the Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver. It was the first time I’ve been there where there was nobody using it so we were able to walk around freely inside the bowl. The surrounding park around the area is also worth walking around.

Today I went to Science World to redeem my passes for the Body Worlds exhibit courtesy of kennymatic. It was pretty chilly by the water but today was beautiful and there was some nice cloud cover. I had my camera and my tripod with me so I thought I’d snap some pics. I also got a little creative with my post processing.
A surreal look at the downtown skyline
I went out for a few hours on January 2 with my friend Howie in hopes of capturing an epic sunset that we had the night before. Unfortunately there wasn’t any cloud cover so the sunset wasn’t as pretty as we had hoped. There was quite a number of people having a nice walk, jog and even biking around English Bay.

In January, one of my photos of the Vancouver Public Library was printed in 24 Hours newspaper as the photo of the day.
